The Garden Gates
Our home is a hybrid of Dutch, American, and European influence, both inside and out. With easy proximity to downtown Saranac Lake, and Lake Flower, and the seclusion of an imported Dutch garden. The five Garden Gates (Tuinpoorts in Dutch) allow entry into a world where deer are not welcome. Our grounds are surrounded by an 8 foot deer fence. We have unusual flowers that are usually devoured outside of our private sanctuary.

Family activities
Our home has been a nurturing site for family outdoor activities. That includes an Olympic biathlete, a US ski team member in nordic combined, a national champion marathon flatwater paddler, plus a Division One collegiate competitor in both bicycle and nordic skiing.
Why mention all this? Because we can share some of our toys such as boats, bikes, snowshoes and maps with you. More importantly, we have been almost everywhere in the High Peaks and can answer questions in great detail about where to go to have fun.
The family likes to talk. In addition, we are very familiar with the Netherlands, gardening, music, cooking, travel, and most all things medical. We are the tuinpoorts (The Garden Gates) opening out to help create your Adirondack adventure.
